Sí-Óg Dolls
Handmade Irish Dolls
Most dolls sold in Ireland today are imported with only the price tag attached in Ireland. The Si-Ogs are one of the last remaining Handmade Irish Dolls. These dolls are handmade in Co. Limerick using the finest quality Irish linens and Irish tweeds. Our dolls come in sizes – small (10”) and big (14” & 18”). All the clothes are handmade by people in their homes in the Kerry, Clare, Cork and Limerick region, with excellent care and attention to detail using skills that have been passed down through generations, particularly with the little Aran sweaters some of our dolls wear. The head, hands and feet of the dolls are made of a durable, high quality ceramic with soft stuffed wired bodies. Each dolls is signed by the maker, and numbered.
Many of the dolls depict heroic characters in the Fight for Irish Freedom. They are part of our heritage and are treasured not only by people with an Irish Lineage but people who are interested in our heritage. Collecting the Si-Og Dolls will pass on your children and their children your Irish roots.
