Sun ceramics produces two ranges of domestic ware. Stephen also makes individual pieces, works to commission and runs classes.

“I love working with clay, it’s immediacy, malleability and elemental associations. I make decorated slipware using traditional techniques; throwing, brushwork, trailing scraffitto and resist. The process of making pots is a curious mixture of technique and intuition, making in turn imposers rhythms and spontaneity

It is important to me that handles are balanced, spouts pour and lids fit. My pots are designed to be used.”
